Join us in our 14th Season and support the artists that make up the independent theater community of New York. By volunteering your time to help staff our box offices, market our shows, or maintain our spaces, you contribute to the newest additions to downtown theatre. If you are interested in joining us, we are welcoming volunteers in several areas.

We need volunteers to help with front of house on site. This involves everything from selling tickets, handing out tickets to audience members who have purchased tickets in advance via the internet or phone, handing out programs, crowd control, guiding lost audience members, ushering, and set up and assistance with show/venue transition times. We need many volunteers in this area, with mostly evening availability. Shifts are 1-1 ½ hours, depending on the day's schedule.

General volunteers are needed at the office. Here you'll assist the staff with whatever needs doin'! It could be anything from answering the phone to running something (light bulb, sound equipment, toilet paper, etc.) to a theater. Whatever it is, you can bet it is vital to keeping our ongoing operations running smoothly.

We are looking for individuals who like talking to people, like walking around the neighborhood, and can read a map to distribute postcards and get the word out about our shows!

Besides supporting shows by our resident theatre companies and dozens of other guests and artists, we will be giving volunteers vouchers to see FREE shows in Horse Trade spaces! The best perk of all is knowing that you rock because you help!

We will be training and orienting volunteers prior to starting your first volunteer shift. We look forward to having you with us for Season 14!!
